The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was first tasked to a two vehicle collision outside Tandur this morning at approximately 11.20am. Three patients were treated at the scene by RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crews as well as Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics, Queensland Fire and Rescue Service personnel and Queensland Police.
One patient, a woman in her eighties was airlifted by the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter from the scene and transported in stable condition to Nambour General Hospital. It is believed she was suffering from suspected back pain.
From the Nambour General Hospital helipad the helicopter was retasked to Double Island Point to airlift a man with suspected burns to his left arm and body after his cooking gas canister exploded on him.

The man in his late-thirties was on a day trip from his camping grounds when the incident occurred.
