A huge congratulations has to go to the CaterCare Team who successfully completed the gruelling 140-kilometre Cairns Wheelbarrow Race, raising almost $20,000 for our life-saving service.
CareFlight’s Ryan Withnell, who participated in the challenging fundraiser, said the team chose to sprint the distance.
“It was definitely the most challenging thing I have ever done, but a lot of fun at the same time.
“Day two was by far the toughest, we covered 65 kilometres in roughly 6.5 hours.”
