RACQ LifeFlight Rescue is proud to introduce the Sunshine Coast Regional Advisory Committee – a group of dedicated community leaders who help keep our helicopters and doctors in the air.

Jocelyn Walker

A long-time resident of the Sunshine Coast, Jocelyn has been part of the local community for almost 40 years and currently resides in a beachside property in Mooloolaba. Jocelyn is well known for her company, Moby Vic’s 24 hour roadhouses, at Glasshouse Mountains. Jocelyn is also involved in other commercial development. The well- known philanthropist is not only an avid supporter of RACQ LifeFlight Rescue but also Steps Charity Sunshine Coast, Sunny Kids Sunshine Coast, and Montrose Access Sunshine Coast. She is also patron of Sunshine Coast Oriana Choir.

Jocelyn also holds many respectful positions in the community including her role as a Member of University Sunshine Coast Foundation Board for more than two decades. She is an Honorary Senior Fellow University Sunshine Coast, Vice Chancellor & Presidents Circle member and Chancellors Associate. She has been a member of the Women Chiefs of Enterprises Qld Division for 20 years which is a supportive International business network of Women Entrepeneurs.

RACQ LifeFlight Rescue is so grateful to Jocelyn for sharing her extensive expertise as Chair of LifeFlight Foundation Regional Advisory Committee.

Brendon Murray

Brendon has enjoyed a successful accounting career, having worked as a qualified senior chartered accountant since 1995.

He has worked with Bentleys Accountants since 2002, and is currently a Business Services Partner of the firm.

Brendon works between the Bentleys Brisbane and Sunshine Coast practices, which has helped him develop a mix of commercial and regional based expertise and understanding.

Brendon’s passion for regional and rural areas has stemmed from his childhood.

He grew up in the Hunter Valley in New South Wales and can appreciate RACQ LifeFlight Rescue’s dedication to rural and remote communities.

Carmel Fulton

Carmel Fulton brings extensive sales, marketing and management experience to the North Coast Regional Advisory Committee.

She has worked in these industries since 2010, with her current position being a Customer Experience and Marketing Manager with Pacific Motor Group.

Carmel has also previously worked as a Real Estate Agent and is well guided on the needs of residents in the local area.

Glen Chapman

Glen Chapman has had extensive experience in the banking industry.

Glen has worked for ANZ for more than 16 years. His current role with ANZ is that of Relationship Manager.

Glen’s skills include: Portfolio Management, Financial Risk, Business Relationship Management, Commercial Mortgages, and Commercial Lending.

He brings extensive financial experience to the North Coast Regional Advisory Committee.

Grant Cunning

Grant has been a solicitor for over 10 years and is currently a director of Spire Law, which he founded in 2015, where he provides property and commercial advice to a range of clients throughout Queensland.   

Grant brings a wealth of experience and knowledge having previously worked as In-House Legal Counsel for Australia’s largest multi-brand franchisor as well as working in general practices and a specialist insolvency and litigation practice, prior to moving to the Sunshine Coast within his young family in 2013.

The Cunning family have been involved in the Sunshine Coast for many decades and Grant shares in this passion for the region. He regularly lends his time and expertise, when he can, to charity and community organisations and is a strong advocate for the region.

Ken Filbey

Ken has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Financial Planning industry having built his business from scratch over the last 28 years. With offices in Mooloolaba and Kingaroy, Ken is a qualified Financial Planner and enjoys helping people in the area of retirement planning, superannuation, building wealth, and maximising pensions for retirees. He also provides advice on personal insurance being income protection, life and TPD insurance as well as trauma insurance.

Ken’s passion is being able to help people when a tragedy occurs in the event of sickness and accident knowing their insurance will pay out.

This is another reason why Ken is also passionate about Lifeflight and see the value of what they do.

Steve Hirst

Steve has worked for more than three decades in the media, regional television, regional and metro radio and print/digital media industries.

His experience has seen him in management positions at high profile companies including Prime Radio, Nova Entertainment and Hot 91.1/Zinc 96.1.

He currently works for News Corp as the Regional General Manager for the South East Queensland Division.

Through this, he manages areas including the Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Gympie and the Fraser Coast.

Steve enjoys taking on challenging roles and has experience making changes to non-performing business units.

Steve also strongly values the importance of having a positive working culture and having a fun working environment.
