Peter Young is a small business operator, who as a LifeFlight Board Member since the early 1980s, is part of the furniture.
The 62 year old was born and bred in Brisbane before moving to the picturesque Bunya Mountains between Dalby and Kingaroy where he’s owned and operated ‘Rice’s Log Cabins’ since 1992.
Living there gives Peter, and LifeFlight first hand insight into the importance of the not-for-profit’s lifesaving work in the south west.
A self-employed businessman since 1969, Peter was on the Board when it made the visionary decision to delve into the corporate world, first in 1993 with expanding the Helicopter Underwater Escape Training and again in 2003, with the air ambulance expansion.
Peter is passionate about his commitment to LifeFlight, and after the July 2013 merger was re-nominated as a LifeFlight Board member.
