Woman airlifted after being thrown from horse
The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a woman to hospital, after she was reportedly thrown from her horse.
The chopper was sent to a private property, in the Fraser Coast region, just after 11am, this morning.
It's believed the woman, aged in her 40s, had just mounted the horse, when it reared and threw her off.
She was initially treated on the scene, by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics, for back pain, before the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue aeromedical crew arrived.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter flew the woman to Bundaberg Hospital, in a stable condition.
