Teen airlifted after single vehicle car crash
A teenager has been airlifted to hospital by the Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter, after the car he was driving collided with a tree, in the Noosa region this morning.
The rescue helicopter was called just before 8am.
It landed near the incident scene, where Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) officers were working to free the young man, who was trapped inside the vehicle for almost an hour.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) officers treated the patient, who had suffered multiple injuries, until the aeromedical crew arrived.
He was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical but stable condition, under the care of the LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor and the QAS Flight Paramedic.
