Two LifeFlight Rescue helicopters sent to serious multi-vehicle crash
Both Toowoomba-based LifeFlight Rescue helicopters have been sent to a serious, high-speed, multi-vehicle crash, at an intersection in the Gatton region.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter is currently airlifting a patient in their 20s, to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
LifeFlight’s Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter was also sent urgently to the crash scene and will airlift a patient aged in their 70s, to the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter and its aeromedical crew, had just left a joint press conference with Queensland Police Service, highlighting the importance of road safety ahead of the holiday period, when they were tasked to the crash.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) were also at the scene, helping other victims.
