One patient airlifted after horrific car accident

The Toowoomba based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was  tasked to the Miles Showgrounds just after 4am this morning to airlift a patient who had been involved in a single motor vehicle accident north of Miles.

The local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) transported the male patient, aged in his twenties, via road from the scene of the accident to the Miles Showgrounds. On arrival the patient was met by the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter.

The patient suffered multiple trauma injuries and was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition. 

2017 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,344 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
