Mum and bub airlifted from flooded property
The Mount Isa-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a baby and her mother from a flooded property north of Cloncurry.
The aeromedical crew were tasked to the property just before 6pm yesterday.
Night vision goggles helped the crew to avoid bad weather on their return to Mount Isa Hospital.
The baby was kept under observation at the hospital.
2017 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,344 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
