Motorcycle accident leaves one injured

An elderly man has been airlifted by the Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue chopper following a serious motorcycle accident near Dalby. 

The man was airlifted with suspected upper limb injuries from Dalby Hospital.

RACQ LifeFlight Rescue was tasked on the mission just after 11am.

He was airlifted to the Princess Alexander hospital in a stable condition. 

2017 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,344 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
