Man seriously injured after being hit by car
The Sunshine Coast based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man aged in his twenties after he was hit by a car near Gympie last night.
The aeromedical crew were tasked to scene shortly after midnight.
LifeFlight's aeromedical crew worked to stabilise the man before flying him to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
The man was transported in a serious but stable condition.
2017 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,344 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
