Man airlifted after horse riding accident
A man is recovering in hospital after suffering multiple injuries to his body, when he fell from his horse at approximately 11.30am this morning.
The rider, who is in his fifties, was herding cattle on a property south-west of Kingaroy when he came off his mount and fell to the ground.
The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight helicopter landed at a nearby field, where it was met by the Queensland Ambulance Service ground crew who had transported the injured man from the accident scene.
He was in a stable condition when he was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
