Man airlifted after serious car accident Sunshine Coast

The Sunshine Coast based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to a single vehicle accident near Buddina on the Sunshine Coast Friday evening at 7:30 pm.

A vehicle with three males on board veered off the road and collided with a tree on Pacific Tce.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter landed at a nearby park with the use of night vision goggles.

Once on scene the Rescue helicopter's Critical Care Doctor and Flight Paramedic assisted local QAS crews to treat a 20 year old male patient who suffered multiple trauma and was airlifted to the RBWH in a critical condition. Unfortunately one occupant was pronounced dead at the scene and the third patient was transported to Nambour Hospital with minor injuries.
