Woman airlifted after head-on collision

RACQ CareFlight Rescue's Toowoomba-based helicopter was tasked to the scene of a motor vehicle accident approximately 25kms North West of Kingaroy on Gordonbrook Road at around 4.30pm Friday afternoon.

The rescue helicopter flew to the scene of the incident were two vehicles had collided head-on.

Once on scene the CareFlight medical team assisted the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) in treating two patients from one of the vehicles.

A woman in her mid-twenties suffered head, arm and leg injuries in the accident and was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The male driver of the same vehicle was road transported by QAS to Kingaroy Hospital.
