Two airlifted near Mount Isa while search continues for missing boy

The Mount Isa based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to the scene of a jet ski accident at Lake Moondarra about 10km North West of Mount Isa at 11 this morning.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted a man and a six year old boy with injuries including fractures and lacerations to Mount Isa Hospital in a stable condition.

The search continues for a nine year old boy.

The lake is a popular spot for weekend campers and boaties

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter returned to search for the boy but was stood down at 2.30pm.

It is believed QPS and the SES are continuing the search.
