Teenager airlifted after serious Warwick MVA

An 18-year-old driver suffered serious injuries after crashing his utility into a culvert on the New England Highway in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The Toowoomba-based RACQ CareFlight crew landed the helicopter on scene to treat the teenager for numerous traumatic injuries he suffered.

Queensland Police assisted greatly in providing light and an area where the rescue helicopter could land.

The CareFlight medical team and QAS officers worked to stabilised the injured man.

He was then airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
