Teen airlifted from Gore Highway accident

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has airlifted a 17-year-old woman from the scene of a single vehicle accident on the Gore Highway today.

It’s understood the woman was travelling in an area of the highway around 40km West of Millmerran when one of the wheels of the vehicle came loose causing the vehicle to roll.

The woman suffered suspected abdominal injuries as a result of the accident.

The Toowoomba-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to assist the woman shortly after midday.

Once on scene, the CareFlight clinical crew assisted Queensland Ambulance Service officers to treat the injured patient.

She was then airlifted to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.
