Small plane crash in Goondiwindi region

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted a man in his mid-forties after his agricultural plane crashed this morning in the Goondiwindi region.

The single pilot aircraft was flying at a low level when it crashed, causing major internal and facial injuries to the pilot.

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to the scene at approximately 7.45am this morning. 

The pilot was transported via road ambulance to Goondiwindi Airport where the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was waiting to airlift the pilot to the Princess Alexander Hospital in Brisbane. He travelled in a critical condition.
