RACQ LifeFlight Rescue provides urgent airlift for injured motorbike rider

A 47-year-old man was airlifted from Blackbutt following a motorcycle accident on the D'Aguilar Highway. 

It’s understood the man lost control of the motorbike resulting in multiple trauma injuries, including serious chest and spinal injuries.  

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to assist at the scene of the accident at around 1.15pm.

The LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor and Intensive Care Flight Nurse assisted Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics to treat the patient at the side of the road.

The patient was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
