Mother airlifted after head on collision with a tree

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to Inglewood Hospital Saturday evening to airlift ta woman who had been involved in a motor vehicle accident earlier in the day.

The accident occurred about 28 km's from Inglewood at around 3.30pm.

It's believed the vehicle carrying two female adults and two children under 10 years of age collided with a tree.

All were taken to Inglewood hospital by the Queensland Ambulance Service.

A 42-year-female from Brisbane who was a passenger in the car sustained suspected spinal injuries and was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

The other three patients remained in Inglewood Hospital with minor injuries.
