Man run over by farming machinery

A man in his 60s has been airlifted by RACQ LifeFlight Rescue following a farming accident on a property south west of Oakey.

The man had been working on a paddock when he fell from a seeder and was crushed by the tractor’s levelling compactor.

He suffered a suspected leg injury in the accident.

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to airlift the injured farmer at 10.15am, landing at the scene within 30 minutes with a Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic on board.

He was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition to undergo medical tests and scans.
