Man airlifted following ladder fall

RACQ CareFlight Rescue airlifted a man from the South Burnett region suffering leg injuries after he fell from a ladder yesterday afternoon.

It’s understood the man aged in his 70s had been pruning palm trees when he fell, causing a suspected broken leg and dislocated hip.

The community rescue helicopter was tasked to airlift the man from Kingaroy Hospital at approximately 10pm on Tuesday night.

He was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
