LifeFlight crew perform back-to-back airlifts from North Burnett town
RACQ LifeFlight Rescue has flown to Eidsvold Hospital twice in less than three hours today for two male patients in need of further medical attention.
Bundaberg’s local rescue helicopter became airborne at around 11am for a man in his 30s who suffered suspected abdominal and shoulder injuries in a horse fall.
After safely delivering the patient to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition, RACQ LifeFlight Rescue’s crew was tasked at 1.30pm to retrieve a second patient from Eidsvold Hospital.
A man in his 60s with a cardiac condition was also airlifted back to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.
The North Burnett community has been on the receiving end of RACQ LifeFlight Rescue’s air-medical care 149 times over the last 12 months.
