LifeFlight airlifts boy after being runover

A four year old boy has been airlifted after a car drove over his leg in the Aboriginal community of Cherbourg in the South Burnett region.

The Toowoomba LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted him from Cherbourg Hospital to the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital at about 6pm yesterday.

The boy sustained a broken leg in the accident and was accompanied by his father for the flight to Brisbane.

He was transported in a stable condition.
