22 year old manís holiday cut short

Bundaberg based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to airlift a 22 year old man from Fraser Island at 1:24pm today.

The Gold Coast local sustained a suspected dislocated shoulder after taking part in water related activity while holidaying with friends.

The patient was initially treated by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics at Happy Valley, and then transported by road to Eurong ranger station where he was met by RACQ LifeFlight Rescue.

The patient was flown from Eurong to Hervey Bay Hospital for further treatment.
