Two patients airlifted after single vehicle rollover on Cunningham Highway

A Victorian man and woman have been airlifted to hospital by RACQ CareFlight Rescue following a single vehicle rollover on the Cunningham Highway this morning.

The vehicle was towing a caravan when it rolled 30 kilometres east of Warwick.

The vehicle and caravan came to rest in a ditch on the side of the highway.

Emergency services worked to release the man in his 70s, who was trapped in the vehicle.

He sustained suspected arm and shoulder injuries.

The second person airlifted was a woman in her 60s who suffered suspected abdominal and chest injuries.

The Toowoomba RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was called in for the double airlift at 11.30am.

Both patients were flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

The man and woman were on holiday from Victoria at the time of the accident.
