Tom Burlinson set to shine at CareFlight Gala Ball
Acclaimed Australian actor and singer, Tom Burlinson, will bring his swingin’ musical show to Toowoomba at the ninth annual RACQ CareFlight Rescue Gala Ball this May.
CareFlight’s South West Fundraising Manager Sarah Delahunty said the popular entertainer will be the drawcard act at the 2015 Gala Ball.
“I’m delighted to announce that Tom Burlinson will be accompanied by his eight-piece band for a special performance on the night,” Ms Delahunty said.
“Tom will perform a selection of songs from his shows including ‘swing’ classics by Frank Sinatra.”
Mr Burlinson’s illustrious career has spanned more than 35 years on screen and stage including the box office hit The Man from Snowy River.
Since the 90s, Mr Burlinson has starred in hugely successful live musical shows including Frank – A Life in Song, Now We’re Swingin’! and Simply Sinatra.
“I’m really looking forward to coming to Toowoomba to perform at the CareFlight Gala Ball,” Mr Burlinson said.
“It will be a wonderful evening to help raise vital funds for CareFlight’s community service.”
The Gala Ball, which proudly supports the not-for-profit organisation, promises to be a glamorous evening that is not to be missed.
Ms Delahunty said tickets to Toowoomba's night of nights are selling fast.
“More than two hundred tickets have already been snapped up,” she said.
“People should get in quickly or they may miss out.”
The black tie event will delight guests with a delicious three course menu fine wines, outstanding entertainment and great auction items up for grabs.
“Not only is it a fantastic night out, but you’ll also be supporting your local helicopter rescue service,” Ms Delahunty said.
“With each of our rescue missions costing more than $12,500 we rely on the generosity of the community to keep our lifesaving helicopters in the air.”
All funds raised from the event will go directly to CareFlight’s local service, helping to keep the Toowoomba-based helicopter flying in the South West.
This year’s Gala Ball will be held at Rumours International in Toowoomba on Saturday May 30.
Tickets are available online for $199 per person or $1,990 for a table of 10.
