SGAS rescue helicopter airlifts injured truck driver

The Surat Gas Aero-Medical Service (SGAS) helicopter rescue service has airlifted a truck driver suffering leg and injuries after the truck he was driving rolled near the the township of Talwood, 80km west of Goondiwindi.

The Toowoomba based rescue crew was tasked to the scene of the crash late Friday afternoon.

The patient was reportedly trapped in the wreckage and was freed by emergency services,

The injured man was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital, attended by a CareFlight Doctor and Intensive Care Flight Paramedic during the flight.

He travelled in a stable condition.
