SGAS rescue helicopter airlifts injured farmer

The Surat Gas Aero-Medical Service (SGAS) helicopter rescue service has airlifted a farmer in his 30s to hospital with a possible neck fracture after he was kicked by a cow.

The Roma based rescue crew was tasked to a property near Taroom, 168 kilometres north of Roma at 2pm.

A QAS road crew treated the patient on scene before he was airlifted to Roma Hospital, attended by a CareFlight Doctor and Intensive Care Flight Paramedic during the flight.

He travelled in a stable condition.
