RACQ CareFlight Rescue crew finds missing toddler

A two-year-old girl has been found safe and well by RACQ CareFlight Rescue after a large scale air and land search at Pine Mountain this afternoon.

The Sunshine Coast RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked by the Queensland Police Service (QPS) at 1.15pm to perform an aerial search in the area north west of Ipswich.

The crew conducted a search for approximately 40 minutes before locating the toddler with her two dogs in dense bushland.

QPS was immediately alerted to her location, while CareFlight’s helicopter maintained a hover position above the young girl until ground Police arrived.

The toddler had wandered about one kilometre from where she was last seen.
