RACQ CareFlight Rescue airlifts man after mustering accident

The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to the Gayndah region shortly after 1.30pm this afternoon to airlift a man in his 20s with a leg injury.

It’s believed the man was mustering cattle on horseback when he made contact with a tree branch.

A portion of the branch became embedded in the man’s leg as a result of the accident.

The man was airlifted to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.
