The RACQ CareFlight Rescue Sunshine Coast helicopter was tasked to a motocross park near the town of Kilcoy Sunday afternoon, where a rider had been injured.

The rider in his mid-thirties from Brisbane had suffered a suspected spinal injury after falling from his bike.

He was treated by Queensland Ambulance Service officers and the rescue helicopter's medical team for his injuries.

He was stabilised and then airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition for further specialist treatment.
