Man serious after Yatala motocross crash

Late Thursday afternoon, the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to the Stanmore Motocross Park at Yatala to airlift a man in his 20s who was seriously injured in a dirt bike crash.

The man was attempting a jump when he came off his bike at a height of approximately 15 metres.

He suffered a suspected fractured pelvis, collarbone, femur and a suspected head injury.

The patient was treated on-scene by CareFlight’s critical care medical team before being flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a serious but stable condition.
