Man airlifted after his arm was trapped in an auger

RACQ CareFlight flew to Goondiwindi Friday evening to airlift a male in his late twenties from North Star after he had been working with an auger and had his arm caught in it.

The accident happened on a property near Boggabilla late Friday afternoon. The rescue helicopter was initially tasked to the property, as the helicopter arrived in the region they were notified the patient had been released and transported by road ambulance to Goondiwindi Hospital.

Once at the Hospital our medical team prepaid him for the flight to Toowoomba Base Hospital. He had suffered extensive injuries to his right arm and was in a serious but stable condition.
