Man airlifted after colliding with 4WD

RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s Gold Coast helicopter was tasked to Wild Pig Road west of Jimboomba around 11:30am Saturday morning to reports of a collision between a trail bike and a 4WD.

The accident happened on the crest of a hill with the trail bike ending up underneath the front of the 4WD.

The 44 year old trail bike rider from Bundamba suffered a fractured right leg and a possible fractured pelvis.

He was treated at the scene by QAS and RACQ CareFlight Rescue's Intensive Care Flight Paramedic before being airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
