CareFlight airlifts woman after five metre fall

The Brisbane-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter flew to Laidley late yesterday afternoon to assist a woman in her 50s who had fallen approximately five metres.

It’s believed the woman had fallen from a scaffolding structure, resulting in possible head injuries as well as suspected fractures to her arm and pelvis.

The woman was transported by Queensland Ambulance Service officers via road to the Laidley Hospital helipad where she was met by the CareFlight helicopter.

She was then flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
