CareFlight airlifts second quad bike rider

A 38-year-old man has been airlifted by RACQ CareFlight Rescue overnight (Monday) following an earlier quad bike accident.

The man sustained a suspected spinal injury.

The Toowoomba RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked on a hospital transfer to airlift the injured rider at 10.45pm last night.

The crew transferred the patient from Toowoomba to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

He travelled in a stable condition.

This was the second quad bike accident the Toowoomba crew responded to yesterday.

A 13-year-old boy from Brisbane was airlifted from Boondooma Dam after he lost control of the quad bike he was riding.

The teenager suffered a suspected broken right arm and was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
