CareFlight airlifts man injured in crash

A man in his 60s has been airlifted by RACQ CareFlight Rescue overnight (Wednesday) following a motor vehicle accident at Gatton.

He sustained a suspected spinal injury, arm fracture and serious head lacerations in the crash.

RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s Toowoomba helicopter responded to the accident around midnight.

The patient was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a serious but stable condition.

A second person who suffered multiple fractures in the crash was transported by road to Toowoomba Base Hospital. Their condition is not known.

The CareFlight crew had just completed a mission transferring a cardiac patient from Miles to Brisbane when they were tasked to the crash at Gatton.
