CareFlight airlifts Brisbane teen after quad bike accident

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has airlifted a young holidaymaker from the South Burnett region following a quad bike accident this morning.

The Brisbane teenager was riding the quad bike at Boondooma Dam when he lost control and jumped off.

He landed awkwardly on all fours and suffered a suspected broken right arm.

The Toowoomba RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to Boondooma Dam, north west of Kingaroy, at 11am.

The 13-year-old boy was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

He was accompanied in the helicopter by his mother.

The young teenager was on holidays with his family at the time.
