Boy airlifted with suspected spinal injuries

RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s Sunshine Coast helicopter was tasked Saturday to Imbil, which is 50 km’s west of Noosa, where a young teenage male had been playing in a creek when he sustained an injury to his back.

Friends and bystanders quickly put him on a li-lo to ease his pain until medical attention arrived.

Once on scene our Intensive Care Doctor and Flight Paramedic assisted the QAS treating the patient for a suspected spinal injury.

He was airlifted to the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
