Woman seriously injured in Brookstead car accident

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has airlifted a woman who was seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident at Brookstead this afternoon.

The driver, aged in her fifties, was travelling with her family when she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash.

The Toowoomba based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter landed at the scene at around 4.00pm while emergency services worked to release the driver, who was trapped in the vehicle.

The CareFlight doctor and intensive care flight paramedic treated the woman for multi-trauma injuries.

She was airlifted to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

One in 10 of all RACQ CareFlight Rescue missions are to treat and airlift patients seriously injured in motor vehicle accidents.
