Woman airlifted after two car crash south of Gatton

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has flown to the scene of a two car collision in the Lockyer Valley.

The vehicles crashed at around 10am this morning south of Gatton.

A woman aged in her fifties who was a passenger travelling in one of the vehicles suffered internal injuries.

The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter from Toowoomba flew to the scene to treat and airlift the injured woman.

She was flown to the Clive Berghofer CareFlight Centre where she was met by road ambulance and transported to Toowoomba Base Hospital.

She was in a stable condition.

Three other people involved in the crash, including a four-year-old child, are believed to have suffered minor injuries.
