Woman airlifted after dirt bike crash

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has flown to the aid of a woman in her twenties injured in a dirt bike crash in the North Burnett region.

The woman had been riding the bike on a property near Gayndah when she lost control in sandy terrain and crashed this afternoon.

The Bundaberg based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter flew to the scene at around 4pm to treat and airlift the injured woman.

She was flown to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.

One in 10 of all RACQ CareFlight Rescue missions are to treat and airlift patients seriously injured in motor vehicle accidents, including those involving motorbikes.
