Trail biker airlifted from Fraser Island

An injured 38 year old man was airlifted from Fraser Island after he hit tree roots while trail bike riding with a group of friends.

The man, who was wearing full protective gear suffered a suspected shoulder injury and is the third trail bike rider this weekend to be airlifted by RACQ CareFlight Rescue.

The patient was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition by the Bundaberg based helicopter.
