Toddler airlifted after reportedly swallowing battery

A two year old boy who reportedly swallowed a calculator battery has been urgently airlifted by CareFlight this afternoon.

RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s Sunshine Coast-based helicopter was tasked on a hospital transfer to airlift the little boy.

The small patient was airlifted from Nambour Hospital to the Royal Children’s Hospital with his mother by his side.

He travelled in a stable condition.
