Tiaro woman thrown from horse

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has airlifted an injured woman who has been thrown from a horse on a private property in Tiaro, south of Maryborough.

The woman in her 50s sustained suspected facial abrasions and a possible head injury in the horse accident.

She was transported by QAS road ambulance to a nearby school oval where the Bundaberg RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter landed.

CareFlight’s Flight Intensive Care Paramedic assessed and treated the woman’s injuries before she was flown to Hervey Bay Hospital.

She travelled in a stable condition.
