Three year old holidaymaker seriously injured in balcony fall

A three year old Brisbane girl has been urgently airlifted by the Gold Coast based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter after suffering serious injuries in a fall.

The girl, who was holidaying with her family on Stradbroke Island, reportedly fell from the balcony of a Point Lookout holiday home and onto a concrete surface. She suffered suspected head injuries and was treated at the scene by CareFlight’s critical care doctor and flight paramedic. The young patient was flown to the Mater Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.
