Three airlifted in an ATV crash

A 32 year old man with a suspected broken leg was among three injured in an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) rollover in Upper Glastonbury, near Gympie last night.

The Toowoomba based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked about 6pm yesterday and flew to a nearby park to meet the Queensland Ambulance Service.

An EMQ helicopter was also tasked.

The two helicopter crews were on standby for several hours at Gympie's Archery Park, while emergency crews worked to free the injured passengers from the wreckage.

RACQ CareFlight Rescue's patient was airlifted to Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition at approximately 11pm.

It is believed two others involved in the accident were airlifted by the EMQ helicopter.
