Third quad bike rider airlifted in seven days

A woman in her 30s has sustained a suspected spinal injury after falling off a quad bike north east of Warwick.

This is the third quad bike accident RACQ CareFlight Rescue has responded to since Monday.

RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s helicopter was called to a property near Tregony from the Clive Berghofer CareFlight Centre in Toowoomba around 12.15pm.

CareFlight’s Flight Intensive Care Paramedic treated the woman before airlifting her to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.

Yesterday the Toowoomba crew airlifted a child from Beaudesert after she came off a quad bike and fell approximately one metre onto the ground.

She was taken to the Mater Children’s Hospital with suspected head, spinal and abdominal injuries.

The Bundaberg-based helicopter was called to a property near Biggenden on Monday after a man in his 30s sustained a suspected head injury and chest pain after falling off a quad bike.

He was flown to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.
