Teenager airlifted after fall from horse

The Surat Gas Aero-Medical Service helicopter has airlifted an injured 18 year old girl who fell from a horse at a cattle breeding station, 50 kilometres west of Roma.

The Roma based helicopter landed at the property at around 6pm, where the girl was treated on-scene by CareFlight’s medical team for suspected shoulder and neck injuries.

The helicopter then made the flight to Roma Airport where a road ambulance was waiting to transport the patient to Roma Hospital for further medical treatment.

The young woman travelled in a stable condition.
